6/7/17 | null | null | 8.6 | Reported to be dragging rear limbs when found. Notably dehydrated - estimate ~8-10% deficit. R rear limb is markedly swollen and cat is clearly painful when limb is palpated. Unable to determine whether there is a bony fracture due to cat's discomfort on palpation- but there is significant edema/swelling - limb is very firm- but is still warm to the touch. PRC vaccine given SQ. FeLV/FIV test = neg/neg. 0.16ml Buprenorphine-SR given SQ. ~250ml LRS given SQ. First dose Onsior (robenacoxib) 1 tablet 6mg given PO (had to pill - would not take canned food treat). Rx next two doses Onsior to be given q24h (tomorrow and next day) Rx 0.16ml Buprepnorphine-SR in 3 days Recommend more SQF tomorrow if needed. | INJURY-TRAUMA | null | 4/9 |

6/8/17 | null | null | null | Recheck - adequately hydrated. Has eaten food. Urine in litterbox. BAR. R rear limb swelling has reduced somewhat - thigh region seems warm and quite large (contracted muscles + inflammation/edema?). Stifle is "crunchy" and it feels as though there is no articulation between femur and tibia/fibula. Pain does seem somewhat controlled (pain score 1/5)- though cat still won't (can't) bear weight on R rear limb. DDx fractured stifle +/- severed rear limb mucles. Plan: continue pain control through stray hold - cat will go onto rescue alert list for foster to rescue. | null | null | null |
