was possibly attacked by raccoons but not for sure. Has wound on left shoulder- both front and rear right feet and has large ulcer on tounge. Is drooling and painful in mouth but eating and drinking well. Dehydrated and thin body condition. Needs euthanasia and rabies test when owner release is obtained. Gave IM penicillin dose and SQ rabies vaccine. FeLV/FIV test was negative

07/19/17 :Mouth/Teeth - mix of dried and frank blood at opening of mouth; scabs on upper libs; large ulcer in center of tongue; inflamed area roof of mouth; bleeding gums at base of both upper canines Ears - No obvious abnormality Eyes/Nose - slight discharge OU; Heart/Lung - No obvious abnormality GI - No obvious abnormality Reproductive - 2 palpable testicles Skin /Hair coat - stained on tail- neck- and feet with blood and mucopurulent discharge Wound on left shoulder to level of muscle- scabbed over with viable tissue underneath Right front paw -very painful to touch- under anesthesia- foot is necrotic; wound on paw pad has purulent discharge Right rear paw- infected wound on paw pad Musculoskeletal - No obvious abnormality Neurologic - No obvious abnormality Given the history of possible fights with raccoons- current wounds- and possible exposure to care providers in home- recommend humane euthanasia with rabies testing once have acquired owner surrender documentation.
