11/29/17 - Limited exam due to cat's attitude. Not using rear legs normally. He has sensation and withdrawal but is weak when he tries to move. No palpable abnormalities along spine and femurs. No pain response to palpation or manipulation of legs. Distal limbs are warm. NAF on abdominal palpation. Has a soft-tissue mass on left temporal area just below opening of ear; this appears to have been recently abraded. Gum color pink. Mentation appears WNL- just angry. ACO #835 said he was a lot worse when she first picked him up in the field; just dragged his legs. Here he is able to pull his legs under him and move them forward to propel himself but the movement is obviously weak and he crouches while doing so. Was able to sit. Plan: kennel with food & water and recheck in the morning.
