12/18/17 - mm color ranges from light pink to muddy when examined throughout the day; congestion persists; good appetite for wet food- diarhhea; approx. 7% dehydrated; resp. rate increased- abdominal breathing persists- heart rate decreased. This cat's perfusion and oxygenation level varies significantly throughout the day. Primary rule outs include feline asthma and congenital heart disease. Specific diagnosis and treatment required to adequately care for this kitten would be lengthy with a guarded prognosis. Recommend humane euthanasia due to poor prognosis

BAR- decent appetite for canned food- sneezing- cage spray- mild seromucoid nasal discharge and congested upper airway sounds- serous ocular discharge and mild conjunctivitis. Thoracic auscultation - increased BV sounds all fields- mild abdominal effort noted of expiratory phase. Mucous membranes are dusky pink and cat is off-and-on open-mouth breathing; CRT < 2sec. Suspect feline asthma complicated by URI. Administered 100ml LRS SQ. Already on Clavamox. Rx NeoPolyBac ophthalmic ointment OU BID x 3d. Rx FortiFlora SID x 5d. Rx Prednisolone 5mg/tab - 1/2 tab PO BID x 3d- then re-assess/re-prescribe (plan to wean down to 1/2 tab SID- +/- q48h protocol if indicated by a longer duration of therapy- then discontinue when appropriate).
