11-14-18 - This cat was found in a taped-closed cardboard box with one other cat (A322340) that was thin but in much better condition. This cat was ~7% dehydrated- its gums were white- and it was non-responsive and close to moribund upon presentation. Body condition 1/9. Grade 4/6 heart murmur from anemia. Tx: 2 mg dexamethasone SQ- 50 ml LRS SQ- Karo syrup rubbed on gums After an hour the cat had deteriorated even more and was moribund- so humane euthanasia was elected.
