Beyond a doubt, one of the most challenging topics animal shelters face is that of dangerous dogs. Often times they get stuck between two different factions - each with strong and passionate feelings on the topic - when they face the potential of dealing with a dog that is dangerous. On one had, they have well-meaning animal lovers who incorrectly believe "there are no bad dogs." On the other, they have a responsibility to keep dangerous dogs out of the public sphere. That is why, when we work with new clients, one of the first documents we hand them is No Kill Learning's Recommendations for Dangerous Dog Policies.
